The graphics below explain the costs that make up the price of a litre of unleaded at 132.9p and a litre of diesel at 137.9p so you can see who s getting the biggest slice of the petrol pie:

UK duty and VAT on fuel

unleaded at 132.9p


Fuel Duty - 57.95p
Product - 47.8p
VAT - 22.15p
delivery - 5p


diesel at 137.9p


Fuel Duty - 57.95p
Product - 51.97p
VAT - 22.98p
delivery - 5p
