Chief Incumbent of Batti holds fast unto death for all three communities
The Chief Incumbent of the Batticaloa Mangalarama Rajamaha Viharaya Ampitiye Sumanarathne Thero has begun a fast unto death opposite the Viharaya. The Thero has cited two reasons for his fast: requesting that the land problems within the area pertaining to Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims be solved and that the President should intervene to stop acts of revenge instituted by local government officials against the poor of all communities forthwith

To those racists who think that everything is hunky dory in the North and East after the routing of the LTTE in May 2009, this is a stark reminder that it is NOT so.
The Chief Incumbent has to be commended for his bold action on behalf of all the communities and he is a REAL Buddhist very much unlike the so-called 'sinhala' Buddhists. Mother lanka needs more people like him |

Sampanthan uncle and Mahinda uncle would soon sign a deal. Giving land rights and Police powers. This should be enough for the moment. Then Mahinda mama can pack up. UNP will take over. Sarath aiya will help the Tamils better.
Prabhakaran's only motive was to EARN the powers and rights through Mahinda's array of atrocity,arrogance, insanity and chauvinism.

Sri Lanka not Mahinda s property to give land powers to kallathooni country less Tamil bastards. As mahinda said he won t be able to go the other side of Benthara river if he gives land and police powers to bloody Tamils.
Sarath aiya will help the Tamils better.
I am 100 sure Sarath goiya going to die in the jail. That is unavoidable if he is going to help Demalaas.

Looking at what's going on in the country right now...
I think this international investigation into alleged war crimes might not be a bad thing after all!
Military, Police, Politicians are not working for the interests of the country or her people.
Military has been getting a little too involved in civilian affairs.
Even after the end of war...If they are so bold to shoot an unarmed civilian in the head and kill him in front of hundreds of people...Obviously things aren't going in the right direction.
This has to be put to an end!
Obviously our leader dont have the vision or the sense to do what's right! |

Well said! Thank you for at least admitting the truth now.
Clearly it is not Mahinda any single fellow's property. IT IS EVERYONE'S PROPERTY THAT HAS TO BE SHARED EQUALLY. Tamils will make sure that it is enjoyed by them too under Mahinda's watch. They have marked the lines, Mahinda will lay the roadwork.

War hero in action.
A solider who allegedly attempted to rob an ATM machine belonging to the Kurunegala People s Bank Branch today was arrested by police personnel on patrol. The 22-year-old suspect was attached to the Gemunu Watch at Nawandakulam in Jaffna and was on leave. |
