Australia record one of their most comprehensive wins of late. They stumbled at Hobart after a thumping win, but this time they went one step higher. Exposes India's weaknesses even more, and that's a discussion for another day, and that will take the entire day.

Clarke, Hussey and Ponting all had statements to make, and they picked a historic venue to deliver them. Australian cricket can smile after a ego-crushing summer last year when they were thrashed by England.

Three years back, India were in a similar situation, going 0-2 down at the SCG before hitting back at Perth. They weren't meant to lose that second Test but this time, they deserved what they got. Which makes the recovery all the more difficult. There's another week left for that. Lots of time for introspection/team changes.

South Africa's batting hero Jacques Kallis said that he and his team mates were surprised at Sri Lanka 's decision to field first in the third and final cricket Test at Newlands

At the toss Dilshaa said it will assist the seemers first so he asked SA to bat first thinking/hoping the wicket would do more than it did during the first few hours

but it didn t and now everyone is laughing at him

This highlights the Dilshan's in ability to analyze a pitch before the game

We seriously need to think about Dilshan's place in the team. Still we come with the same crap saying he is playing his style of cricket. Send this guy home. If he doesn't improve his batting, or if he neglects his responsibility as a captain, then he should not be in the team.

Same has to apply for Mahela. Scoring 30 should not secure any place for him either.

If they are professional world class players, let them prove it.

Right now they are just like balloons, looks big but nothing but hot air inside.

Just saw the way Dilshan got out in the 2nd innings. You don't need to be an outstanding bowler to get his wicket when he is gifting his wicket. Even Boucher can get him out easily:)

Poor bugger must have been so frustrated with his decision to send in SA that he wanted to erase the deficit all by himslef by hitting us out of trouble in a few overs.
