Chennai, Aug 30 : The Tamil Nadu assembly Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution asking President Pratibha Patil to review the mercy petitions filed by the three convicts in former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination case and commute the death sentence to life imprisonment

Will those people who support clemancy support these killers if the killers attacked and killed their Father/Brother/Husband/Son/Son-in-law ? The crowd is mad. Besides Rajiv was an Icon and and ex-PM of India. I may personally hate Rajeen for his Bofors kick baclk case and also his corrupt practices. A crowd from a tiny Nation comes to attack an Icon and ex PM of largest democracy in India....isn't it nonsense? It is like supporting Ajmal Kasab. Totally absurd. LTTE launched a war with India by killing Rajeev. I also deeply deplore the verdict of HC for staying away the execution. Didn't Sonia pardon Nalini and made her to escape from death sentence? I may not like Sonia, but she did show human consideration. Crowds' attrocities in Chennai is now becoming unbecoming. Nonsense...........Our democracy is a Banana democracy

People and Politicians in Tamil Nadu are playing Dirty politics by demanding that the killers and conspirators of Rajiv Gandhi Assassination not be hanged. This is going to set a dangerous precedent with others like Afaz Guru and Co also demanding the same.

Here we go again!! After a l-o-n-g 11 years,a State Court has NEUTRALISED the Indian Supreme Court & the President of India's decision!! This was a COLD CALCULATED POLITICAL MURDER of a Prime Minister!These POLITICAL TERRORISTS are now trying to FIND EXCUSES to escape the death penalty!I am of the opinion that the President's final decision should be carried WITHOUT ANY DELAY! JAI HIND!

What is this??

They shold be hanged. They are murderers and keeping them in jail for 11 years doesn't make their crime any less

Shame...... Even Justice is Delayed But After all it is done. Now, People like Afzal Guru, Kasab etc are all happy and other similar sort of hard core terrorist will be very happy to come here and spread teror and land in safe custody of our constitution of India. SHAME on This. If they should not be hanged then atleast they should be handed over to mass/people. ANd We will decide their fate in such a way that no terrorist in the world will ever dare to come inside out border.

They should be grateful that the president did not respond and they lived for 11 yrs. They were sentenced after a trial. Their fate was decided. Why this now? It is an insult to this country that such terrorists go unscathed. I would not be surprised if Kasab is also allowed to go after a few yrs. Its simple, kill a few hundred spend some time in jail. Everything is paid for. When you want to get out write to the President for a pardon. Pretty damn convenient.

It is common with even Punjab Assembly honoring the Killers of Indira Gandhi !

But then Indira was PM while she was killed unlike Rajiv who did not hold any official Indian Constitutional Post when he got killed...
