how on earth could they run a competitive budget airlines with international competition.
had everyone been thinking the same way there wouldnt have been any airlines like Ryanair, Jet Aireways ..etc either
not everyone. you missed my point.
Ryanair, Jet airways run by enterprenuars.
Mihin Air is run by SLFP politicians. :) |

it has nothing to do with 'international competition.' really, as AMIGO said in the last page it seems Mihin has passengers, it's just mismanagement which makes it unprofitable most likely. not sure how much politicians involved in day to day running o fit, obviously they would have chosen henchaiyaas to run it as typical. |

Airarabia, a budget air line based in Sharjah UAE, recorded a profit of US$ 100 million for last year.
just check their website.
Emirates airline, now has 160 air planes, started its operation with just US$10 miilions in early 80s.
Just look at the progrss of air lines while Airlanka and mihinair fast crashing.

I said from day 1 that this Mihin Air business is a crazy thing and this bad movie continues.

SLFP, PA, UPFA same wine in different bottles.
the point is SLFP is ruling the country for two decades it can't blame somebody else for running SATHOSA at a loss.
I hope I can do it in office. screw up my work and blame the guy who was sitting in my seat 20 years ago. |

Air Asia of Malaysia made half billion dollar profit last year. It operates 100 Airbus planes. Even flying cheap flights Colombo to KL. |

I said from day 1 that this Mihin Air business is a crazy thing and this bad movie continues.
if it is a private company and if they keep on running at a loss at one stage they have to stop since the investors go bankrupt.
but if it is run on public money....... |
