A son of Vinil Gems owner is among two youths killed in a road mishap in Ahungalle in the early hours of this morning (Mar. 25).
The Benz car they had been travelling in had veered off the road and hit a tree around 1.30 am at the 74 km post.
One of the dead has been identified as Dinesh, son of the leading gem merchant.
Four other occupants of the vehicle have been admitted to Balapitiya Hospital with injuries.
Three of them in critical condition were later transferred to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.

My deepest sympathy!
It is a big question how parents can protect their children from this kind of road mishaps. |

Here also there the same problem.
Some times cars wrapped around lamp poles.
Cars can accellerate from 0 to 100 miles within seconds.
Cars can also go to 0 miles speed in less than one second. |

| In UK and United States of America it is easy to drive 60 M.P.H. on well carpeted mostely no curves well maintained 'Free Ways' .But in Srilanka even 40 M.P.H. is not safe on 'Galle Road' as the road is not maintained well and with curves and especially going through highly populated cities with so many 'Crossings' from every 100 yards.People who used to drive 'Western Countries' must have to be think before sit behind the 'Wheel' this is not UK or U.S.A. This is 'The Eight Wonder of the world' |
