I dont think so, without chamara's innings we would have folded up way behind the target. and the captain was at the other end and he has the authority to take decisions on the ground, whether to defend or attack and it was his call, Sanga and Chamara wanted to consolidate and prevent any more loss of wickets so that Angelo and Thisara can come in an have a go. they may be little too late to start the charge but Angelo and Thisara couldnt make the dash as we wanted and the reason for our loss is there. |

How is Cricket progressing in HK and Mainland China ? Are you still playing for the SL Team ? There was a good cricket stadium located somewhere along the KCR line between Kowloon and Tsim Sha Shui East. I guess in late 90 HK national team made a debut in major world cricket, what happened thereafter ? . |

Sri lanka would have taken Kandamby not Kapu.
yes when they announced the 30 man pool, I thought they would include Kandamby, he is a good finisher and we have no one in the middle order to do that in the current 15. |

pls read my post..I said Chamara slow RR at the start which allowed the required RR to reach 8 at that point is ONE of the MAIN reason...I do not think his innings would have mattered if he was caught early in his innings..a simple high catch...anyway it is all History..and Chamara will again play today...
about Dilhara...if Perera does not play he will play as a bowler..but we will be one batsman short...
Regarding Kapu..I think they should have tried him as an opener..to hit out..he will be better than Tharanga..if we beat Australia it will be worth a try when we play zimb.. |

HK cricket is still going on and I have stopped playing but still a serious supporter of our local SL team..we did very well last year..we won the lower grade championship..
The ground you are talking about may be in Kowloon City..it had two grounds together and then we lost it but after a 2 years now given back as one ground..China is also involved in a lot of cricket..but again few local boys playing there..very similar to HK..
U may be knowing HK sixes are the main tournament we have every year. |
