Before that...they must appoint a good management with a proper strategic planning to Mihin air....

How long it will take? This problem with Mihin from the day one and MR.R knows.

Several years ago during the war time, Mihin air needed Cargo plane for WET LEASE from Russia or Ukraine AN-12. Middle man a Srilankan business man made contact the owner of a AN-12 in Ukraine.

Ukrainian owner gave price for Wet Lease US$730 per hour minimum 90 hours per week must pay whether you use or not.

Later they received from Mihin Air draft contract asking to write in contract Wet Lease is US$1150 per hour....etc. But they will make US$730 per hour payment from a Singapore company. So, to whom that extra US$420 per hour? Only God knows. Even after Ukrainian company sent commercial VISAs for four (Mihin Air) to visit Ukraine and inspect the plane, the owner contacted me.

I advised owner to not to go with Mihin Air because when I checked Mihin credit record, I still remember they owed lease money to Turkish Company more than 8 moths lease money for their passenger plane.

Thanks, owner in Ukraine paid me my consultant fee.

(BTW, I have still some e-mail communications....saying Signing officer for Mihin Air is in Singapore for sickness..getting treatment there and will back....day etc.)

I know some will say this is fabricated story. But I 'm telling to those that I do not care whether you believe it or not.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Tuesday (22) said that some of the self-styled human rights champions had the audacity to call the killing of hardcore LTTE terrorist Thamilselvan in a SriLanka Air Force raid an attack on the peace process.

Such criticism was part of their strategy to force Sri Lanka to call off its battle against LTTE terrorism, the President told the annual Convocation of Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) at Temple Trees, where the conferment of Bachelors and Masters degrees on 51 SLA, 23 SLN, 12 SLAF and 4 (three from the Maldives and one from Nepal) took place.

Dinamina journalist Shiromi Abeysinghe, who was covering Colombo High Court proceedings close to a year, has been removed and assigned to cover the proceedings of the Gangodawila courts.

The transfer had been made following a complaint made by the head of the trail at bar that heard the White Flag case, Judge Deepali Wijesundera to Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa that even the Dinamina newspaper had failed to report the actions of the lawyers after the verdict of the White Flag case was delivered.

Angered after hearing the judge s words, Gotabhaya had telephoned the Dinamina Editor Mahinda Abeysundera and reprimanded him. Distressed by the telephone call, the Dinamina editor had to be admitted to hospital for treatment.

However, Mahinda Abeysundera had taken steps to get journalist Siranjani Kumari who was covering the Gangodawila court proceedings to cover Judge Wijesundera s news.

Member of the High Court trial at bar hearing the White Flag case against Srath Foneka, Judge Razin had met privately met with the President on several occasions before the verdict of the White Flag case, a senior government minister. The White Flag case was filed against Fonseka by the Attorney General on the insistence of the President.

Judge Razin had been taken to meet with the President for the secret discussions by one of his brothers Faizal Razin.

Faizal resides in the President s home town Hambantota and is a well known author in the area. He has written and published a little booklet on the President and him.

The Rajapaksas and the Razins have maintained close links for several decades. Although Razin is not a senior judge in the High Court, the President had ordered the former Chief Justice Ashoka de Silva to include him in the High Court judges bench hearing the White Flag case.

Deputy Solicitor General Wasantha Bandara who was appearing for the White Flag case on behalf of the Attorney General s Department was replaced by Deputy Solicitor General Bhuvaneka Aluvihare since Bandara was not handling the case as expected.

The minister who gave us the information said that when Judge Razin was the Mt. Lavinia District Court Judge, he had decided on case verdicts by just tossing a coin and had also been accused before the Judicial Services Commission for sexually abusing two typists working in the courthouse.
