Thanks to this curious compulsion on the part of the two Rajapaksa Siblings, we Lankans have been provided with a fascinating glimpse of the Fonseka-phobia of the Ruling Family. According to a Wikileaks cable, soon after winning the Presidential election, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa informed a US diplomat that unlike outrageous claims by regular political opponents, Fonseka s threats and betrayals had to be taken more seriously (reproduced inColombo Telegraph 18.11.2011 www.colombotelegraph.com). This revelation should be juxtaposed this with another Wikileaks cable in which the Defence Secretary is reported heaping praises on the supremely ineffectual Leader of Opposition Ranil Wickremesinghe, describing him as a very reasonable, a professional politician . According to the same cable, Mr. Rajapaksa informed Mr. Wickremesinghe, You should have been the candidate you would have got more votes . |

so what is your point.
it is a quality of a wise Leader to identify the threats in advance and act accordingly.
it is true that Ponseka is a real trheat to gvmt means, not that he can capture power( now he cant poll even 25%) but he can be used by our opponents internationally, this is the bigest worry.
For that he is equipped with a dirty mouth, so other can get the full use of it, which Ponseka cant understand.
Actually ponseka either released or jailed both are a real headache to the gvmt, that is true,
I prefer he starts a death hunger there( he started yday and stopped)and die or suicide then that is the best he can do for the country.
Otherwise becuase of his personal grudges with Rajapakses, will do a bif damage to this coubtry for sure. He cant be a good ruler, his only intention is to attack Rajapakses from top seat.
It is simmilar to Arjuna R coming to politics to attack to attack THilanga.
Arjuna also worked under Whatmore and just after world cup went against him, same as Ponseka did.
But I know you guys will ask , should Arjuna eat Whatmore's mas katu anymore, itis Arjuna did everything to win the world cup.

The truth is no sooner if You let go Fonseka, he will go on a revenge spree and will create more flase allegations which will be detrimental Lankan security!
Fonseka s threats and betrayals had to be taken more seriously
Don't You think so... after the white flag story, then going and telling the BBC that he will stand as an witness is something that You cannot let LIGHTLY!
I mean Y don't You understand that SIMPLE POINT! Think abt the country first not an individual!
BTW, don't You also think that Gota, SF shd come down to earth and resolve it and make things right for the sake of the country and for the soldiers who sacrificed their lives???
