President can appoint Election Commissioner, chairman and some officials for every commission including police commission and Bribery and Corruption, chief justice and the Auditor General.
SO, the result will be there won't be anyone to investigate or successfully progress any complaints against the president or anyone related to him.
Election commissioner will be obedient poodle of the president.
On the other hand, president can use govt machinery to run his election or to screw up anyone that he does with SF. Edited By - AnuD - 6 Sep 2010 05:32:39 GMT |

what is your stake in this about the 18th amendment.
As per government, this is only the first step of threefold amendments. I think this is a good starting point. |

Election commissioner will be obedient poodle of the president.
After last election, SF supporters accused that EC was forced to give a result in favor of MR. So does your argument make any sense?

There are no clauses in the amendment to make the president accountable for any thing he does wrong.
That makes him a powerful dictator answerable to no one ever.

As president is appointing many higher officials, parliament should have the power to fire those officials if they act partial or incompetent.
Amendment does not talk about any troubleshooting mechanism. |
