| | Is Roshan next to be court martailed? - AG s advice sought Wednesday, 18 August 2010 - 2:51 AM SL Time | | | The advice of the Attorney General Department is being sought by the Land Ministry regarding the illegal sale of a block of land in the Knuckles Range to Air Force Commander Roshan Gunatilaka.
Air Chief Marshall Gunatilaka is allegedly setting up a holiday home on land which is declared by the Forest Department as `environmentally sensitive`.
Both the sale of this 21 hectare-block of land after it was gazetted to have been acquired by the Lands Ministry under the Land Acquisition Act of 1961 and the construction of a house or tourist hotel on it are illegal. We will definitely take legal action against this and acquire the block of land on the advice of the AG, Land Ministry Secretary Asoka Peiris told Daily Mirror.
Secretary Peiris added that the said land was to be acquired from its owner Roy De Silva and compensation paid to him at the time it was illegally sold it to Air Force Commander Roshan Gunatilaka.

This is no joke, its from SL media. Colonel KP, Colonel Karuna, What is Pilliyan's rank? LOL
However, a large number of senior officers of the Army have opposed the attempt to confer a post of colonel to KP pointing out that his next promotion as a colonel would be as a commander which would be harmful to the country. |

So now, will all the top commanders will be behind bars?
If these things are happening day by day, in a Democratic country, The President at one point has to step down as an Incompetant one. |
