HOw did Doctor earn this much money
By hard work at the CWE.
Why do you guys keep picking only on the good doctor, how about the Raja family? The only job MR really knew was politics, I think he was elected in his late 20's orearly 30's. What does a politician really get paid? Gota was in the military when it did not pay much either. What was Basil and Chamal really do before politics? |

A security assessment carried out by the British High Commission in Sri Lanka has concluded that the whole country is now safe for travellers.
Thanks that no more Davil Miliband to harm Srilanka. But unfortunately several people like Damed (Sinhalese who does not know Sinhalese language), AnuD (who does not know anything about the development projects in Srilanka) will do everything to harm Srilankan image. |

Even Nawala Nihal was elected to Parliament by the people. By electing such people it only confirms the infirmities in a Democracy.
The above is by Keheliya Rambukwella.
Even politicians know that there is somethig wrong with the Sri Lankan Democracy
Because, Kudu mudalaalis are selected to the parliament.
but, no one tries to correct those things.
Every one fools Voters. |

Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga said yesterday that the country could not be developed with the help of casino owners, racketeers and murderers.
Although the war has ended, the country is overflowing with corruption, said Mrs. Kumaratunga at a meting held at the Municipal Council of Puttalam.
She said that the war had been won with the weapons brought by her. The Government service is corrupt now, she said. |

Hay, look at India.
Anyone familiar with the disastrous state of India should not be overly surprised to learn that the Indian parliament has an overwhelmingly greater percentage of criminals than the general population. How effectively a nation functions and how successful it is depends on its leaders who make public policy and thus critically determine the outcome. India s failure to develop and achieve its potential is proof positive that its leadership is lacking.
Fifty hard-core criminals
AN ITALIAN activist is gaining traction in his campaign to ban people with convictions for any crime from the European Parliament, a measure which would prevent French far-right chief Jean-Marie le Pen and British leader Nick Griffin from becoming MEPs.
But still they are members of EU parliament.

Do not blame the Government for the fault of the voter.
Those who voted for the government in large numbers should take the blame for Mervin Silva s deeds says Cabinet spokesman and Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella. He said this in response to questions posed by journalists at the media briefing held yesterday (5th) to inform cabinet decisions regarding Deputy Minister Mervin Silva s behavior.
Speaking further Mr. Rambukwella said, I have no arguments regarding this issue. However, people have voted for him. This is what I said indirectly. People in the area have brought him to the top as a model for democracy. It is the people who have encouraged doing such acts.
However, we should take the next step. If people vote en masse for villainousness and knavery there would have to be another view regarding democracy. |

Parliamentarian and Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka also said that it was not appropriate to take action on state employees or civil society according to the whims and fancies of certain individuals.
If they had done something wrong, then action must be taken according to stipulated laws of the land. Therefore, this is not appropriate. If you take this from the point of view of the state service, the country or even the society, this is not a good moral act, said Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka.
Better than Rambuk, Champika has a backbone. |
