Keep in mind Things happening the way it should happen.
If we defeated Tamil terrorist at the very beginning we would have not got this recognition. With 30 years of terrorism LTTE gained the reputation as world ruthless terrorist organization. Killing those Tamil punks and people who gave birth to those punks, like cockroaches we got a better recognition.
So you can not only credit them also you can decorate them posthumously who cares.

How come? Why Moon is not coming after LTTE then?

It can only be explained by VP's farsightedness...! He refused to unleash the most lethal cargo in his possession -- WMD stockpile...!

Had he unleashed even a single WMD, Singala race would have been no more... But, he decided not to and thus lost the war...!

But, his good prudence is been hailed by UN now... as his name is nowhere being mentioned by Moon commission...!
