(Colombo Lankapuvath) It is a necessity that the information asked for in the inside of passports issued by them be filled in by its owner, said the Immigration and Emigration Department of Sri Lanka.

The information includes the Sri Lankan address of the passport holder and, in case of his death or in case of an accident, the name, local address, telephone number and e-mail address of a close relative.

This information, which is almost never included by the passport holder, would be useful in the death or accident of the owner or in the misplacement of the passport.

The General in Charge of the Immigration and Emigration Department asks all Sri Lankans to fill in the necessary information, for it is considered mandatory.

The Officers of the Immigration and Emigration Department who are on duty in the Katunayake Airport have been given orders to check whether those who are leaving the country have included the information in their passport.

New Delhi, Jul 12 A 20-year-old college student was beaten to death by four unidentified youths in the capital today with police suspecting it to be a case of rivalry among youths.

The incident took place in Sonia Vihar at around 6.30 AM and the victim has been identified as Kamal, a BCom student of Khalsa College.

'Four persons pulled him inside a car and beat him up with iron rods,' a senior police official said.

Kaush

I asked u
what is your version of what really happened to this Uni student?

u repied

how should i know, medical report says he died from natural courses while his mother is saying one of his batch mates hit him..
JVP run these shows to agitate govt while most of the students just going kade due to the attestation they get..nothing else..
JVP who who make thse students come to streets rather than lectures should take the responsibility ..i know how it goes..

in your different possible reasons You don't include Police has anything to do as reported..

Let me re-phrase my question
