Folks, please enjoy our Veersinghs life story before coming to TN from Punjab. (please keep it as a secret, he only reveled it to me).
Before coming to TN as a shoe polisher, VeerSingh invested all his wealth what he received from his father-in-law as dowry in a business and Suffered huge Loss. Do you know what the business was? . . . .. . . . . .. . . He opened a Saloon in his home town Punjab for the sheiks.
After losing all his money in the bankrupt saloon business what VeerSingh did in his hometown and before coming to TN as a shoe polisher, VeerSingh did some labor job in his village in Punjab to collect some money to go to TN. What he did was moving the Buffalos (ploughing) in the Basmati paddy fields.
A journalist who wanted to know how VeerSingh went bankrupt came to the paddy field and took his photo. On the next day VeerSinghs photo appeared in the local news paper along with all the Buffalos with the caption, VeerSingh third from right.
While working with buffalos in the Punjab paddy fields, what VeerSingh earned was not enough even to buy a train ticket to TN so he decided to start a small chicken farm. He bought twenty five chicks to begin with. A month later he returned to the dealer for another twenty five chicks because all of the first lot had died. A month later he was back at the dealer for another twenty five chicks for the second lot had also died. 'But I think I know where I'm going wrong,' said VeerSingh, 'I think I'm planting them too deep.'
