3.5 million rupees is C$ 35,000.00 approximately. That is C$420,000.00 a year - just after Med school ? (Med school takes four years here, I believe)
For the benefit of readers, can a medical professional or someone who is associated with the medical profession in Canada, who reads this, confirm the accuracy of this statement? To me, it looks heavily exaggerated. |

save and have a thrifty life(using public transport, not eating out), any family can save over 2 lakh rupees a month and if somebody wants to bet about this , I will show you living examples
Oh yes! In Canada, use public transport only - Super! The most impractical thing here is to rely on public transport, a two-year old child will tell you. You come to North America, use public transport only, do hard labour, don't eat out and live a life that is not North American. Is this guy for real? |

Now the process takes only less than 12 months. (We have proof). It used to be around 36 months
Oh yes! there is a system of bringing illegal immigrants from backdoor and claiming refugee ststus. that process takes less than twelve months, the catch is - if it works. Otherwise, it is 33 months for 80 percent applications lodged in Colombo, the balance 20% takes longer. Check the website please. In Canada, they update information regularly. www.cic.gc.ca.
Of course there are Sri Lankan professionals who come here with their egos and mentalities and get caught to the misinformation of our pundits and do not seek proper government asisstance in getting ahead, who still work as taxi drivers
This is the second stage of the scam. Ego does not take you anywhere - I agree. However, these people misinterpreat 'Professional Pride' as 'Ego'. That is how the governtment funded program (NGO) managers try to break people's will and make them labourers.
As I said earlier, It is a jungle out here, We hear a wolf howling - loud and clear.
We do not entice doctors to come to Canada for few good reasons. However, if they are interested we give them information. We give following web links and ask them to see the cost, time taken, hard work involved

Acoording to this ethical consultant's own words, the salary is $420,000 a year just after 1-4 years(that is even befor going throught the full med school program) graduation. Now, that is worth any trouble in a country wher average annual family income is less than $100,000.00 and people can live comfortably with $100,000 a year. What's the catch? |

I go to Canada often and I have family there (I live in the US). I deal with lot of Immigration folks as a part of my own business and activities. There are many immigration officers at senior level with whom I have developed very good relationships. It is fair to say that I have considerable knowledger about the life of an immigrant in Canada
You have told BLATANT LIES and then you have FAILED to give correct information to the folks in Sri Lanka. The salary of a registered nurse is between $53,000 to $74,000. The higher end is for someone with over 20 years of CANADIAN EXPERIENCE.

You have stated the salary scale of nurses completely wrong. The pay you had given $81,000 is for a nurse with several years of experience who has a Masters in Nursing. A masters in nursing from a recognised Canadian or US university. Abeysinghe, dont mislead people. You ought to be ashamed of yourself

Did you at any time tell these innocent people that they need to do three years of study befor they become nurses? Did you tell them that those who come from SL will have to get their qualifications re-evaluated and 99% of the time do several other exams in Canada? Did you tell engineers that their qualifications from abroad (including the UK) do not get them qualification to practice automatically? Did you give full information Abetysinghe?
The answer to ALL those questions from a person who attended is a resounding NO.
So you come here and justify your dishonesty and expect us to call you a gentlemen? You got to be joking mate

I read you subnsequernt posts in which you attempt to justify your con act (with little success but provided considerable amusement)
So basically from a questionable immigration CONsultant you have become an expert in advising folks how to live in another country!
Let me see... soooo according to your drivel they should live
1. In a basement
2. Take public transport
3. Both husband and wife go to work (who looks after their kids has been forgotten of course)
4. Spend approx $900 for food etc (so you decide how much they spend and how they should live)
5. Have a thrifty life (how dare you are to tell people how to live ?)
So can I assume that you have some family councelling and debt management qualification too?
This one is hilarious
Even a doctor , if they make use of government funded programs and also student loans, grants etc, they can become doctors in around four years and earn over Rs. 3.5 million a month(gross salary)
Yeah right! You reckon a doctor should go through all the hassle of getting requalified (exams, uni courses, fees etc) because you CONNED them to come here?

I saw you had challened members to come for a debate. I will help you better than that.
I will arrange you to have a private one on one meeting with Immigration authotities in Canada. You can prove to them that you are a bonafide CONsultant and you gave all TRUE information.
I have the original article from Sri Lanka, I have copies of all your drivel here (of course you can deny that it was actually you but I am sure Canadian authorities can verify that too), I can get someone to testify from SL (if needed) to confirm what you said.
Then you can have a true debate with authorities. ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE?
The ONLY reason I have not informed my contacts in the immigration is out of sympathy. I dont want to see another sri lankan in trouble (tamil or sinhalease) even if they are OUT AND OUT CROOKS. But if you are challenging folks, then consider there is someone here who is prepared to take the challenge. But I will be doing it properly with proper authorities
Swear to god abeysinghe, I will put you in trouble. If you want me to stop that I want you to apologise to this forum and promise us that you will not CON our people

Friends who live in Canada
Oneday I saw in the Toronto tube (underground) a nice ad. It was a small fish being eaten by a large shark. It was by Immigration Canada to report (if needed annonimously) crooked immigration CONsultunts.
I never imagined I will see a Sri Lankan trying to swindle fellow Sri Lankans, Guys, if this geezer trioes to be too smart you klnow what to do.
Abeysinghe, if I were you, I would shut up and disappear. The more you try to justify your crooked act the more ammunition you give us. Swear to god, it will take me only one call to organise your debate for you. It will be one on one with some qualified immigration officers.
Dont take this as an empty threat. Members here will vouch that I dont issue empty threats.

Do you REALLY want me to call immigration?
I checked with them (without disclosing your name) about the penalties for giving misinformation. I also checked with them the salary scales you had given. I verified with them the timeframes you had quoted to qualify as doctors or nurses etc.
According to them,
1. Your pay scales are wrong
2. Time frames to qualify are wrong
3. Time frame to get the application processed is totally wrong
Clearly you have been giving wrong information.
Abeysinghe, penalties are very high for immigration fraud and you are indeed committing fraud. According to immigration Canada, you could lose licence and also face jail terms.
Here is my question again. Do you REALLY want to meet the officials?
It is not my intent to put another sri lankan in trouble (sinhala or tamil) but if you dont correct yourself and give proper and true information I have no choice but to inform them. As you can see I have already started my side or the bargain but I did not give your name entirely out of sympathy.
Do you want me to go ahead?
