Let us remember Nero: the Phussadeva of our time, the archer who never missed his mark

Dear friends, today is the first death anniversary of the great warrior Corporal Ranjith Premasiri aka Nero, the greatest sniper Mother Lanka has ever produced and one of the greatest ever in the all-time pantheon.

More than 180 foul beasts did you slay with your sacred bow. With your unerring marksmanship did you strike terror into the hearts of the enemy from afar. Many are the battles of which you turned the tide. It is our beloved motherland`s great fortune to have had you among her guardian angels, never resting until her eternal freedom was ensured and cast in your own blood.

When we tell our grandchildren about you, we will tell them of how Phussadeva walked the land once more, smiting the dastardly foe with his divine thunderbolts, the archer who never missed his mark.

May you be reborn among us before you ascend unto the supreme bliss of Nibbana.

	Look at him! Just look at him! Have you ever seen a prouder, fiercer warrior? Is it any wonder that the most foul terrorist group in the world was completely annihilated by him and his brothers? Our eternal gratitude to you. I am proud to say that I am personally involved in helping the families of our supreme war heroes.

Nero was able to speak Tamil So well I remember just before he died he was telling the LTTE to surrender

perhaps it was the distraction of the TV crew or the pos giveaway by the TV crew that finally got him

But Machan my brother we are thankful to you because you helped save so many lives by bringing the spear to those who killed so many.

May you be reborn with all of again for another day so we can live to protect our motherland.

I hope Gota Sir will not forget you at all.

Gota and the rest of the military will never forget them. Even us overseas are always carrying out fundraisers for our heroes. In fact, we will be having one in Australia in a couple of months' time.

What a shame. I still can't believe he's gone.

But I have some news for you. One of my friends has his own movie studio in Colombo and he is planning to make a movie about the Mahasohon Brigade, and some characters will be based on Lalith Jayasinghe, Nero, etc. It will be the greatest Sri Lankan movie ever.

Amigo, can he attain nibbana? yes he can... he hasnt done a ananthariya papakarma was only trying to save the country and didnt shoot at ppl for the pleasure of it.. 	can he attain nibbana? Of course... King Dutugemunu had the same doubt, can he and his fellow armymen attain Nibbana? The only person within Elara's army who wasn't a ruthless barbarian was Elara himself, and King Dutugemunu killed Elara not out of hate but for the gain of his fellow man. It is said that a great sniper is one of the most valuable assets a filed commander can ever have.

Along with this hero who paid the ultimate price for our motherland, SLA probably has a few dozen great snipers in their Ranks.

The sacrifices they make to become great at what they do are unimaginable, their dedication to perfection - unfathomable.

1 shot 1 kill.. Says it all.

May he be remembered forever !!

	I am sad to note that our media outlets have hardly remembered him or the other heroes who gave their lives for us on their death anniversaries.
