[This is not the time to create another crisis by pulling the rug under its feet Gampaha district MP, Jayalath Jayawardene told BBC Sandeshaya. ]

Actually, I disagree. It`s now or never. Internal party revolutions are never pretty but because Sri Lanka needs an effective opposition this has to happen now.

    Sajith Premadasa is correct.

    The UNP is dying.

Can this party be revived at this stage?

Ranil W will never agree to `reforms` you think of.

Ranil is the greatest obstacle to any reforms.

Its thanks to Ranil that the present ruling party won so many seats at the recent elections.

To implement Sajith`s plans or to revive the `dead` UNP, this incapable, dictator RANIL should be get rid of.

If he does not want to go out on his own, he should be forced to quit the party..........

Put Ranil W in a bottle and dump it in the Indian Ocean!!

    I agree 100 percent.

Mr. Wickramasinghe continuosly fails to be effective in whatever he does, however correct what he does is. It doesn`t matter whatever he does, he cannot address the concerns of Sri Lankans or his party members effectively. So, he is bound to be a failed leader.

On the contrary, Mr. Rajapakse has his index finger placed right at the point where people`s pulse is felt - all the time (As one journalist very nicely puts it). And that is why he wins, and deserves to win, hands down.

So, if His Excellency and his confidantes decides to deviate from the right path (We earnestly hope he will not), Sri Lankan people have no chance with Mr. Wickramasinghe at the helm of the opposition.

Yes! it is time for UNP to make changes, in the interest of the Motherland, if they have any interest.

Dear Sajith if U.N.P. dies let it dies, that is not your fault. That is foolish leadership`s fault.Let him die and buried, after that `New Borne Child U.N.P.` we can make up.We do not need to give legitimity to Illigitymate child of U.N.P. Let him dies.

As long as Ponil is the UNP leader, the govt need never worry.
