	Freedom1: Who flies to these Indian destinations ? Two of those destinations, Varanasi and Bodhgaya are very important for Buddhists. That was a good one.

	The success behind Air Aisa is their solid domestic market. Then they expanded to other foriegn destinations but not big cites. If Mihin had to profitable and successful they have to rely on domestic market, which is not there. Mihin is going to crash SRi Lankan airways as well, since government try to piggy back Mihin on Sri Lankan.

	Freedom, some of the destinations are important buddhist ones...this is for the normal citizens of SL..to go and visit these sites..I think.. and for the people who work in ME,..more economical..????

Most of my SL friends are not at all keen on going to India.

Roshan2007,

Air Asia is connecting nearly all South Asian destinations that are prime. Hong Kong - Phuket direct for less than a taxi from Galle to Colombo. Early booking gives you even a return ticket.

not sure, if these ME rates are competitive. You may like Air Asia flights CMB to KL. Usually around $140
