Govt need to understand what base they had to win the war and to govern the country. JHU is not an extremist party as many people want to show. But they have genuine affection to the country. It is JHU got one of the main ministers of the country, that is environment and did something.
President may be happy with crowd from the UNP who would do anything, for safeguarding portfolios, but it would not be the people desire or will.
Sooner the JHU is kicked off, it would be the begining of the end of government. |

| Full implementation of 13th amendments is important but its better to keep it to only 5 provinces without having ethnic base. can have North province which should have current north and part of north central and part of north west together,East can have pat of north central and pat of uva together, central province will have part of uva, part of sabaragamuwa to gether, west will have part of north west and part of sabaragamuwa together, like wise south will have part of sabaragamuwa and part of uva together. it will make only 5 regions, north, east, west, south and central without considering ethnicity or language. keep both sinhala and tamil are official language in this regions is a must |

| Is the JHU, with the support of the Wimal Weerawansa faction, and the same music played by the JVP, all of whom are trying to find a permanent place in Sri Lanka politics, through communal politics, trying to hood-wink the Sinhala masses on the 13th Amendment. The Amendment is a part of the constitution. The JHU and JVP have both gained positions in the other seven PCs using the Amendment. It has to be only fully implemented in the North and East. Why are they protesting now? Are they just not trying to use the support they received from some people in their demonstrations and parades staged recently, under various pretext, to intimidate the President? Are they not trying to bing back the 1950 K.M.P. Rajaratne, L.H. Methananda (Bauddha Jathika Bala Vegaya) and 1983 Cyril Mathew eras back to the country and renew the tragic past history. It is certain that the President will not bow down to the JHU, Wimal Weerawansa, JVP pressure. Let there be no repitition of the abondoned Banda-Chevla, Dudley-Chelva Pacts, the District Council systems situation and the same fate befall the 13th Amendment and the APRC process. Let the people not forget that Tamil militancy and then terrorism was borne because the democratic process failed to find solutions to Tamil issues because they were thawarted by communal terrorists within the majority community. Let us not give way to this communal terrorism again. How can those who thwart attempts to find solutions to issues and bring about peace as 'patriots'. Are they not the 'true terrorists'. Let us all the peace-living, just and fair minded people join to defeat these terrorist. |

Mahinda has the full backing of the Maha Sanga to devolve power to ensure ethnic harmoney for the rest of time.
Mahinda is not bothered about extremism, Sinhala or Tamil, UNP or JVP.
Mahinda is a leader who can never be threatened.
These silly extremist political leader's think that Mahinda is like CBK or Traitor Ranil who will give in to threats!
Threats don't stand a dogs chance with Mahinda!
Even Raigamakolla knows this. I think Raigamakolla should be given the JHU Ministerial portfolio. |
