What 13th ammendment will do is more ethnic polarisation.
IN every way, as it is, 13th Amendnment is disaster.
13th Amednment is good for decentralization of the parliament. Because, now all 225 are in Colombo. they are not there to serve the people.
13th amendment also accepts that NE is Tamil homeland. |

The only way for the survival of SINHALA - BUDDHIST CIVILIZATION is include it under the ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST.
Other wise it is doomed.
See, White man understand us differently.
Take USA as the example. IT is more so in other new world - white dominated countries.
they have so-called human rights and charter of rights. but, there is systemic or structural discrimination to make the white - English - christian culture the dominant culture.
Similarly, Sri Lanka does not have a system to make the SINHALA - BUDDHIST CIVILIZATION THE MAJOR CULTURE IN SRI LANKA.
Muslims are busy to reach the target of making whole Sri Lanka Muslim by 2050. Christians are trying to beat both Muslims and buddhists. Tamils want EELAM. FOR SINHALA PEOPLE EVEN PRONOUNCING THE WORDS SINHALA AND BUDDHIST is Racism, Extremism, Supremism, chauvanism.
Ask the couple DJ and TG.

13th amendment will give certain powers to all provinces and not particularly to North or East. Parliamentary ministers have miserably failed to address the problems of remote areas since independence. This devolution will set up an effective administration is all regions.
What we must do is to revise (if we need to) the amendment hastily prepared. We must not see this as giving powers to Tamils, but to people. Isn't it what people want?.

| I think Mahainda has to put his foot down and tell all the Sinhala extremist groups to remain silent or better to serve them the way you treated Tamil extremist such as Praba and the group. It is very essential otherwise this extremist group will continue to remain as the most vicious stumbling block which denies future economic prospects and social stability in our mother land. What do they want? No devolution of power, no financial assistance from IMF. Do they want to kill the remaining Tamil civilians in IDP camps? We do not want Sinhala Siva Sena in Sri Lanka. Ask them to toe the line or destroy them. They will never leave UPFA government. Offer some car permits and few foreign trips .Take stiff action against Sinhala extremist soon. Good luck Mahinda. |

Chamika and Wimal will not give up their fight. If they wants to be in power they have to continue their struggle.
You know now what has happened to Mahinda?

| The President should not give in to the demand of the JHU as the full implementation of the 13th Amendment will be a realistic step in building-up minority confidence in the President who has promised justice and fair treatment. The President's firm positive stand on this issue will no doubt show his true statemanship. |

| Wimal weeramonkey himself seems to be in the process of evolving from ape to man and is unlikely to put the spanner in the works of the Govt devolving power under the 13th amendment. The fact that his party is on the verge of accepting 2 portfolios in the already bloated cabinet and is not in keeping with his slogans at Lipton circus is an indication that his spine is flexible. |

Political sources said that the President had reacted angrily to Ranawaka s threat to quit the government. President indicated that he wouldn t give in to pressure from any party.
even if the JHU walks out or not it doesnt matter...these are just minority parties that has very little say nor can they make any big impact in SL or to the present GOSL. when the JHU will give out a negative output on the SLs development process, I believe MR's reaction to the JHU is justifiable...anyone who will try to disrupt the process of making SL prosper again should be dealt with accordingly...
You kicked the JVP
yes that was a another master minded pincer attack by MR that broke the JVP to pieces:)))... also taking into note is chasing out Pongala, and Hanguranketha hora out of his side!!:)))
