Rasak,

Rasak, I read you comments.

If there were a Language issue for Tamils, It is past.
End of 1980s Tamils became a official language.

Now , Mahinda is going to give more meaning to the official languages. I have read in news papers that only people can handle both languages will be recruited to state secter. Present state employees will be taught too.

i accept that fact and also the lankan history and the civilization is built by sinhala Buddhists

Rasak,

We have ancient Hindu Temples and artifacts much older than the Buddha himself. Then how could we call the Sri Lankan civilization built by the Sinhala Buddhists alone.

Until the racist bigot Anakarika Darmapala came up with this exclusive Aryan Sinhala theory, there wasn't any Sinhala-Tamil divide in Sri Lanka. The mixed bred racist bigot Dharmapala did more harm to the racial harmony in Sri Lanka than anyone else in the history of Sri Lanka.

The Tamil, Sinhalese Hindus and Buddhists built the Sri Lankan civilization NOT the Sinhala Buddhists alone. Most powerful Kings And Queens of Sri Lanka were Tamil blooded, then how could you call that monuments they built belong to Sinhala Buddhists alone.

Most Sinhala nationalists like to think that the island was united for most of history under a central Sinhalese authority. It was not.

Before that Parakramabahu I of Polonnaruva united Sri Lanka around 1160 AD. The great Parakramabahu s unity did not last even 100 years.

From 1215 to 1619, there was a kingdom in Jaffna, longer than the life of the United States of America. It was briefly annexed by Bhuvanekabahu VI, also known as Sapumal Kumaraya in 1450 but lost control of it by 1467.

Rev Phillipus Baldeaus who lived and preached in the Kingdom of Jaffnapattnum has written extensively about it and his publication in 1672 has a map of the Kingdom.

Where is this Hindu temple.

Not one but there are Five ancient Siva Temple in Sri Lanka pre dating any Buddhist monument in the island. :))))

THIRUKETHEESWARAM IS an ancient temple in Manthottam, in Mannar District, about seven miles north of the Mannar Town. According to legend, it was at this ancient temple that Kethu Bhagavan worshipped Lord Easwaram (Shiva).
Hence the shrine acquired the name of Thiruketheeswaram.

According to scholar and historian, Paul E. Peiris, '... long before the arrival of Vijaya (6th century B.C.), there were five Eeswarams of Siva in Sri Lanka Thiruketheeswaram near Mahathitha, Munneswaram dominating Salamatte (Chillaw), pearl fishery Thondeswaram near Dondra, Thirukoneswaram near the great Bay of Kottiyar (Trincomalee) and Naguleswaram near Kankesantural'.

In 1887 Hugh Neville, another well-known researcher, spoke about the city of Manthoddam as follows: 'A renowned shrine grew into repute there, dedicated to one Supreme God symbolised by a single tone, and in later times restored from ruins by Vijaya, a Saivite. The temple was known as Thiru Ketu Iswaram.'

This temple dedicated to the worship of the Supreme God Siva has been the most venerated for centuries and the holy waters of the Palavi Tank by its side are venerated in the sacred hymns of two great Saivite saints, Thirugnana Sambandhar and Sundarar, who lived in the 7th and 8th Centuries respectively.

This great temple was completely destroyed by the Portuguese in the 16th Century and the stones from here were used to build the Fort at Mannar, the churches and also the Hammershield Fort at Kayts.

having hindu temples is not a proof for existence of a tamil kingdom, if so then pollonaruwa with its two hindu kovils should have been a tamil kingdom too.
also there is no proof even the northern areas before dutch bringing in tamils for the tobbaco cultivation, that inhabitatnts were tamils, even araya chakrawarthi has a malay ancestries ...so your arguments proof nothing my fiend with out any hard facts!
