I didnt write that.
Making an effort means, having a recruitment center in tamil areas.
If the recruitment center is far away in a sinhalese area, nobody is going to travel long distance to get there. |

What I means is, for example Matara district, Anuradhpura districts etc are predominantly sinhalese areas.
Jaffna district, Mullaithivu district are predominantly tamil areas. While District of Ampara is not dominant for any society.
Yes, I admit all are Sri Lankan areas. |

Many thanks for your reply
It is too much of coincidence that LTTE lost after the 9/11 and associated crack down by USA (and other countries) on all worlds rebellion movements
You are confusing the issue my friend. The west realised the danger of terrorism when they tasted a bit of terrorism themselves after the 9/11. Yes, as a concept the west accepted the need to defeat terrorism.
It was not the intention of the west to defeat only the LTTE. It is an environment that developed post 9/11 world that the terrorism should have no place.
That development should take no credit away from the heroics of the SLDF and their capabilities. That development should take no credit away from the men and women who sacrificed their lives. Because it was not the soldiers from other countries but soldiers from Sri Lanka that defeated the terrorists.
And that development should provide no glory to the defeated terrorists which caused more damage to Sri Lankan Tamils than politicians in the South.
Not beg, should just make an effort
Fair comment. Not only in just SLDF recruitments but also in ALL other aspects it is good to make an effort.

See I never mentioned that. Colombo is NOT a predominantly sinhalese area. see my examples above.
That development should take no credit away from the men and women who sacrificed their lives.
By majority sri lankans point of view, no doubts there. |
