Another 50,000 personnel will be recruited to the Security Forces to maintain the administrative areas liberated from the LTTE.
that is good.... extra security is needed for the betterment of the people of Sri Lanka.. also this will help to identify and root out any more uprisings from the beginning stages... if the country is to be taken forward with it s development projects(specially after a almost 3 decade old civil war) this extra security is an essential.. |

Do they realise that the standardisation helped Tamil students from the EASTERN and the NORTH EAST provinces of Sri Lanka?
Yes, I am just asking why cant it be applied in SLA recruitment.
Since the Portuguese time, Tribalism, Thesavalame and Tamil - wealth had been used to Sinhala People out of Jaffna.
Thesavalame : I rarely heard of it, probably not practice for decades. No need to discuss on something that is not there now.
As far as we know, Tamil homeland is South India.
Tamil homeland is also Sri Lanka, yes it is shared with Sinhalese, Muslims and Burgers.
Plan is to make 50,000 soldiers marry 50,000 Tamil women in the next decade,so in 25 years time Vanni will be Singhalized naturally. 13th amendment will still be useful:)
How do you know, if the area is tamil, soldiers descendants will be tamil. |

Monks do not necessarily do service like priests of other religions. You can be a monk and engage in meditation all your life without giving a single sermon.
Does it help the society and economy in this 21st century ?
Now Sri Lanka belongs to Sinhalese..
That is called racisim.
So Sinhalese come from Tamils and yet we're racist to Tamils?
It is not degrading if someone has come from the other. Sinhalese came from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Bengal. SL Tamils came from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Some SL tamils also have become Sinhalese.
As to why they are racist to tamils, ignorance, not knowing the history, blindly following the fundamentalist bhuddisim. Who knows. They can tell.
It is amazing that Sinhala everything came from tamil, but tamils no longer have anything similar. So sinhala simply preserved tamil culture? Am I missing something?
Why do yo say tamils and Sinhalese don t have anything in similar. They look the same to start with. They celeberate new year in April together. They all eat the same food, are from the same country. Wear more or less the same cloths.

USA boasts as a country made up of Ethnic minorities. Yet, only recently, they began to recruit minorities to the army. |
