I think it is a dead pitch in Galle,,, I can smell a highscore draw........

We made the Englishmen follow on, the last time the 02 teams met.
Mahela scored a double ton and Vaas was among the wickets.
This time around there's no Vaas and Mahela has a good track record at Galle.
The former skipper can come back to form with a grand knock.

And,,, we lost to Indians in Galle too,,,, M&M magic worked out, but our batsmen failed,,,,, remember???
we shouldn't totally depend on Mendis....... Pakistanis are playing him well...... seamers & Murali should do the job..... |

So in that case, Kapu can make it only IF Sanga open and drop Paranvithana OR Sanga keep wickets and drop Kaushal.
Given Kapu's form Sanga should keep wickets and play Kapu..
If Sanga does not keep wickets then we are playing Kaushal as a wicket keeper..I heard he is a good bat but it is better to play Kapu since he got a 100.
I am also not sure playing Thilan is a bit too soon. did he have enough match practice? well left to be seen..
It is very SAD to see Vass go..I think that is the end of his career and he should call it quits!
Paravithana failed in the warm up game and I am not sure how he is in the squad? I am so surprised on the timing of announcing the test squad at the end of the 1st day of the warm up match. It shows this warm up game is not something the selectors wants to count on..!

It shows this warm up game is not something the selectors wants to count on..!
yes indeed,,, i was surprised too..... I thought the warm up match will be crucial for Upul Taranga, Paranavitana, Kapu, Kandamby, Kaushal Silva, Dilhara & Maharoof to get a node in the squad..... but, it proved that it is just a practice match for Pakistanis..... |

I am going to throw in some interesting issues..let us discuss it further
1)Tharanga Paranavitana played 2 test matches scored 30 and an average of 10.00
2)Chamara Kapugedera played 7 tests scored 376 with a highest of 96 an average of 34.18
3)Malinda Warnapura played 11 test with 723 runs with a highest score of 120 and an average of 42.52
4)Angelo Mathews..did not play a Test but his first class performance is so impressive 29 matches 2203 runs with an average of 55.07 with a highest score of 270..
5)Jehan Mubarak..played 10 test matches 254 runs average 15.87..can someone tell me how this guy played 10 test matches for SL.
6)Thilina Kandamby..did not play test cricket but the first class 96 matches 5000 runs with an average of 35 and a highest score of 202.
