Thivya,
Did you read that three main stations of northern railway are going to build with funds from people of Galle, Matara and Hambantota districts..?
Sanjare,
YES, we all know that those three districts are the richest districts of Sri Lanka and now they are contributing their vast wealth to develop the North East. :)))
Didn't Mahinda steal the Tsunami Aid to 'HELP' the poverty stricken Hampantota. : ))))
Before that, did you ask this question? What is the need for building railway stations while vast majority of Northern inhabitants are illegally locked up in Sinhala concentration camps struggling for food, clean water and sanitary facilities.
I guess the Sinhala settlers need these railway stations and transport facilities to settle in Tamil's homes and villages. They are building in it a hurry before the Tamil Nadu Tamils wake up and stop the Indian Aid to these so called development schemes to grab the Tamils' land acknowledged by the 13th amendment as the HISTORIC HABITAT of Tamils.
The Sinhala racists could never fool the Tamils with Sinhala pep talks and development schemes. Every Tamils knows, development means illegal Sinhala colonization of North East.

so sorry lanka
The presidential secretariat yesterday directed the closure of the Secretariat for Coordinating the Peace Process (SCOPP) at the end of next month, Director General Rajiva Wijesinghe said.
We have not been told of any specific reason for the decision although we have been discussing such a scenario since last week, Prof. Wijesinghe said. I don t want to speculate on the decision neither comment on it or appeal for a reconsideration.
Prof. Wijesinghe said SCOPP was going ahead with the process of closing down but the future of the SCOPP staff was uncertain since most of them were employed on a contract basis. He said about half of the operational staff had been laid off a few weeks ago and it was still not clear whether they would be absorbed into public service.

I dont want to explain a lot, but I am sure you can understand if you read again what you wrote. Even a little kid can understand roads are backbone of the development and building once destroyed (by LTTE) railway is one action of that direction.
Regarding IDPs, though they are not free to go around, they are having a life, compare to disastrous life they had just before May.
If they are facing a so hard life, TNA MPs can start a protest and then a fasting protest in Colombo easily. They are not forcing, since GOSL is doing the best, what they can do. |

...and some people are displaying cruel uncivilized and sometimes funny mindset, which they cant give-up throughout the life. But, they know, others always forgive them. So, they can be happy.

Despite joining the political process, the TMVP was regularly accused of human rights violations - including child recruitment and abductions - by the United Nations and international human rights groups.
The current TMVP chief minister of the eastern province, Chandrakanthan, told the BBC's Sinhala service that his cadres were not interested in joining the military.
'There was an option for them the cadres to join the army or police but only less than 10 people came forward,' Mr Chandrakanthan, also known as Pillayan, said.

Sansare,
We Tamils are afraid whenever the Sinhalese utter the word development of North East. It reminds us the previous Sinhala colonization schemes under the guise of DEVELOPMENT.
Regarding IDPs, though they are not free to go around, they are having a life, compare to disastrous life they had just before May.
So, you think, it is ok for people to be locked up in camps without free movement. Even a little kid knows the free movement of people is the basic human right. The funny part is, you often try to portray yourself as a moderate Sinhalese who don 't hate Tamils. :)))))
The people of Vanni were not living in Concentration camps under the LTTE. No amount of Sinhala propaganda will change that fact. :)))
If they are facing a so hard life, TNA MPs can start a protest and then a fasting protest in Colombo easily. They are not forcing, since GOSL is doing the best, what they can do.
I think you are being funny. You talk like the Sinhala Terror state is a real democracy, the Tamils and their representatives can freely speak and protest against the Sinhala government.
The Sinhalese have already framed an outspoken TNA MP as an LTTE supporter and incarcerated him without even access to a lawyer. The Sinhala journalists have no right to say anything against the Sinhala Terror state. Even a poor Sinhala astrologer culddn't express his opinion but you want the Tamil MPs to protest and face the white van abduction eh!
Please GET REAL :)))))))

If you want to talk about human rights, first, you should declare that you are no-more a LTTE supporter. Then, we can argue about some issues. But, under the LTTE mind-set, its not easy for you to understand what are the good opportunities those IDPs are enjoying today and also the prospects they have.
No big use of thinking too much about the situation we had 40-50 years back,...since the war has cleaned the extremists and created a time to be to united for a new hope and life. People are moving to that direction. Jaffna already started election meetings etc.
Things are changing ,..people are happy about what they are having today. |
