I'm very angry because people talk about developing tourism, organizing election in NE, international airport in NE, when MORE than 300'000 people live under inhumane situtation in whole NE. Muslims and Easterners since a longer period than Vanni people.
As you acknowledge, this 300,000 people are not the only people who are displaced in Sri Lanka. Many people more than that have been displaced for number of years (some are more than 10 years) because of your SUN Goad's atrocities and they are living in refugee camps in both Sri Lanka and India. They are also living in similar conditions. So I think those who displaced first should be resettle first.
It is GOSL duty to assist these people. They are TALKING a lot, but doing NOTHING. Soon, one month will become two months, then 4 months, then 8 months, then 2 years, and you will be telling me the same thing AGAIN, KURAL WAIT they (GOSL) are going to help and resettle them.
GOSL have been resettling people in Mannar region. They were displaced far before than the people in the refugee camps in Vavunia. You cant say GOSL is doing nothing. You diaspora are the people do nothing to help the GOSL to resettle your own relatives.
The only thing is WE CANT WAIT. It is an urgent HUMANITARIAN situation which need urgent EConomical and social actions, NOT just politicians BS BLA BLA BLAs !
If you can't wait you can start an initiative to resettle people which will work together with the GOSL. YOu diaspora put the blame entirely to the GOSL where you are partially responsible for the situation.
If SL got money to recruit soldiers and build roads, don't they have money to resettle and build destroyed homes, at least SOME of them ??
Don't you understand that security of a country is the top priority? Other matters come next. Why India spends millions of money on neuclear and other weapon development while millions of people starving in slums?
It is GOSL duty to build these homes, not people's who got their homes destroyed by SLAF Kfir and Migs !
Government will do this. But not like 300,000 homes in a month as you expect. |
