Fine with Tourist development projects for as long as a coherent entrance fee policy is established.
One example.
Do you know that foreigners have to pay as much as Rs. 2000 to visit the Dehiwela Zoo?
My son witnessed some people refusing to pay this amount on Monday and they were right. Paying a bit more than the locals is no problem, but this here is closer to racketing.

It happens everywhere !
For Foreignors visiting Tajmahal there is a charge of abt Indian Rs 750 ( worth abt 2000 SL Rs ) while for local indians, it is totally Free..

That appears to be the case in Lanka and in some other developing countries, but that is not right.
I have noticed in the Western world everyone is charged the same.

Sri Lanka s tourism authorities have unveiled plans for a substantial new resort development in the previously off-limits north of the country.
In other words, the Sinhala racists are planning to settle Sinhala thugs in Tamil Homeland. They tried this earlier and failed.
Now, the guardians of Tamil homeland were cowardly massacred (Thanks to India), the Tamils are locked up in Sinhala concentration camps, more than 50,000 Tamils were slaughtered by the Sinhala Pol Pot Mahinda Rajapukse and his minions to satisfy the Tamil blood thirst of the Sinhala Vampire race.
Still the Sinhala vampires are blocking the outside access to the Vanni to hide the truth about mass killings of Tamils by the Sinhala Terror state. The Sinhala Terrorists are planning to settle Sinhala racist thugs in Tamil homes and villages under the guise of Tourism and development.
Whenever the Sinhalese utter words like 'development' and 'North- East' the Tamil will know that the Sinhala barbarians are on the way to destroy their homes, villages and their peaceful life.

I have noticed in the Western world everyone is charged the same.
For any place entry is more than 10 dollars..
Even to see a waterfall you have to pay 10 + dollars.
But here is my point, locals are the people who continuously pay the taxes for the build up of those resources such like Sigiriya and Zoo, and foriegners will come once and enjoy all the tax money by paying a little amount is not fair.
But what I would like to see happening is, we need some sort of a guiding mechanism to be in place for the foriegners to understand why they pay more, as well team guide to explain the things would add them a value.
At Sigiriya, foriegners pay 20 dollars, but not even a leaflet is given for them. that is bad. |

Years ago, I was in Jordan. When the bus I was travelling in passed through some Palestinian camps, the Palestinians showed the 'V' sign. There were 3 Kuwaiti youngsters next to me who showed the 'F' sign with their fingers. I asked them why they don't like the Palestinians. They replied that the Jewish girls are great.
May be Mustapha will have to bring some Jewish tarts to SL to attract the ME Arabs. |
