The US gouvernment has warned american citizens to not to travel to Sri lanka due to the military gouvernment and bad situation. I hope that the other western countries should follow United states and advise all travel operators in Italy , France,UK,West germany and other countries to not to send any tourists to sri lanka untill the normal situation comes back.

This is not the best moment for the western tourists to come to sri lanka otherwise they risk their life.

They can, however, travel other most peacerul and best destinations like Cuba,African and European countries where there is no any danger.

The nature of the travel warning...

What next is how the State Department insinuates that Sri Lanka as almost a police state when it says in the travel advisory just released on June 26: American citizens of Sri Lankan origin may be subject to additional scrutiny upon arrival and while in the country. In some cases, foreigners of Sri Lankan origin may be detained without their embassy being notified. The activities of journalists, researchers, aid workers, and volunteers receive particular attention.

Ha ha ha ha! Since when did people listen to their governments.

Wishful thinking, bro! The flow has started. How can you or any other Peelam Monkey ever stop the word of mouth spread of the fact that things are in fact OK in Sri Lanka?

beside, no one listens to the Tamils anymore.

If the purpose of the visit is plesure, then it is OK.

American citizens of Sri Lankan origin may be subject to additional scrutiny upon arrival and while in the country. In some cases, foreigners of Sri Lankan origin may be detained without their embassy being notified.

The activities of journalists, researchers, aid workers, and volunteers receive particular attention. The Government of Sri Lanka encourages Sri Lankan citizens to report foreigners who are suspected of carrying out activities not consistent with the national interest and/or their visa category.
