then it should be a system that treat every body the same irrespective of their ethnicity n the place of origin
I am for it.
If the Uni entry system is fair and may be favouring Tamils ( as rasak and BinKunda written), GOSL should publish the information with evidence.
Now the next question is, should the tamils be recruited in the armed forces so that armed forces representation is the same as population percentage. |

dude i dont y you keep coming with this stupid questions,
the information is already there, check the latest z scores, but the point is the sytem is not favoring any ethnic group(as you guys were saying all this time), but it is trying to bring the gap between the areas with more facilities and the areas that dont have much, its not fair but until well be able to provide all the facilities equally in all the provinces i guess we may need a system like this |

for armed forced theirs no percentages.who ever is qualified and eligible to serve for the country without separatists ,mono ethnic, terrorists mind set will be recruited in the future. already 5000 tamil youths have recruited to the police.

again show your lack of knowledge about the things here
there is no govt policy in recruiting only Sinhalese to the forces, but unfortunately most of the tamil recruits were either killed or had to leave due to the pressure by the ltte, in fact even in 2001 we had a tamil IGP, n there is reasonable amount muslims serving the forces! |

The 57-division s Commanding officer Jagath Dias has been appointed as Sri Lanka s Deputy Ambassador to Germany, informed sources said yesterday.
Major General Dias led his Division from the beginning of the Wanni operation three years ago and directed the capture of vital LTTE held areas such as Madhu Church, Kokavil town, Thunukkai and Mallavi and the strategically important LTTE capital Kilinochchi.
The 57-division led by him was the main strike force of the army in its operations against the Tiger cadres.
congratulations.. |
