Will 13th Amendment work for Tamils ????

Tamils have to also recognize they are not a homogenous people. The days of domination by the Jaffna Tamils over other Tamils are gone forever. The needs of the Jaffna Tamils are not the same as those of Tamils living in other parts of Sri Lanka. There are Jaffna Tamils, Vanni Tamils, Mannar Tamils, Batticaloa Tamils, Trincomalee Tamils, Amparai Tamils, Colombo Tamils, West coast Tamils (now being classified as Mukkuwar by some in the Sri Lankan government) and Hill Country Tamils. Each with different needs and different priorities, but linked by a common language. The needs of the Muslims, who speak Tamil and live amongst the Tamils are also different. Tamils have to accept the diversity amongst them and the fact that they have different aspirations in terms of their geographical dispersion. Tamils have to find a unity in their diversity, while Sri Lanka as a nation should also strive to find the unity amongst its diversity.

He doesn t discriminate anyone on religious basis, to honour his close friend Charles Lukas Anthony ( who died in 1982) he named his son Charles Anthony. General VP was a hindu and Charles Lukas Anthony was a Catholic.

How many of them are from TamilNaadu?
I guess the number is ZERO

Every state in India contribute in a different way, either most or 2nd most of the Indian IT professionals are from Tamil Nadu. I heard tax collected in TN is used in the North. It is also a well to do state within India.

Jaffna troops bag top Tiger

The army on Wednesday morning (June 24) killed a senior LTTE operative identified as Salappan during a cordon and search operation conducted at Iyattalai, Kodikamam.

A senior army official based in Jaffna told The Island that the army had launched the operation after receiving a tip-off from people of the area.

'Troops gunned him down as he was about to throw a hand grenade at the army,' the official said, adding that they had recovered one micro pistol, two hand grenades and a mobile phone along with the body.
