Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa who strategically led his country s national struggle against the ruthless LTTE terrorist outfit to successfully conclude in internally annihilating it May this year, will be in the living rooms of his countrymen in Nevada and California on Saturday, June 27.
At 9:00 p.m. this day Mr. Rajapaksa is scheduled to address the Sri Lankan expatriates in these two Western states of the United States via Internet to officially launch the Api Wenuwen Api Housing Project to raise funds to build houses for the armed services personnel who fought to rid the nation of the ruthless LTTE .
It has been established that a majority of the armed services personnel belong to the most poverty-stricken layer of the Sri Lankan society.

mp weerawansa claimed that a group of MPs recently moved the Supreme Court seeking its intervention for political parties to visit welfare centres as part of their overall strategy to cause trouble. One of them had appeared on stage with senior LTTE cadres in support of the eelam cause while another provided food and accommodation to LTTE operatives, including Pulidevan at his residence, the MP said.
