Sri Lanka s rankings have improved in the 2009 Failed State Index of the FOREIGN POLICY magazine with the country dropping down from the critical category last year to the danger category in the latest rankings.
If the magazine used a 'weighting system' within the indicators for economic and social difficulties coming through the elimination of internationally (yes, not all the world, but the WEST and India mainly) banned terrorist groups, Sri Lanka must be ended in a much higher place. |

The country has defeated the most ruthless terrerist group and united the country.
It freed millions of tamil people from cluthes of terrorism,
It brought mental releaf, joy to 20 millions people.
It has protected 20 millions people from terror
I dont find any reason why it should not be the most successful country in the world.
These two corrupt NGOs should not think of including Sri Lankas name in the list on top or bottom.
Or it should take out sri lanka name from the list altogether based on exceptional situation there.

MR is not happy with how the minister is spending money even for family members in tours
It will be good if the money can be used on the injured soldiers, dead soldiers' families, IDPs & LTTE rehabilitation. |
