Iros,
http://www.dbsjeyaraj.com/
You mean Jeyeraj's site..?
I go there very rarely to read. And LNP is the only place I post what I think.
Now, LNP is having a brake, but with the elections and political solution for north and east, this will re-activate with stronger arguments and discussions,..I think. |

As delegation of Sri Lankan president Rajapaksa meets External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on aid ship Captain MV Ali's release, Tamil Nadu MPs push for the cause, say Lankans will benefit. DMK minister A Raja meets SM Krishna and asks him to see that Lanka allows all the relief material of MV 'Captain Ali' for the displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka. He said that Sri Lanka must allow MV Ali to unload relief material. 'Captain Ali' is only carrying relief material for Tamils in Lanka. He also said that Tamilians in Lanka should benefit from the aid.
The vessel carrying relief material for displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka, is now anchored near Chennai after it was turned away by the Lankan Navy. The vessel MV 'Captain Ali' with relief supplies sent by Tamil diaspora set sail from Britain in April to Sri Lanka.
According to the Lankan Navy, the ship was turned away on the ground that it violated internationally accepted formalities followed by merchant ships seeking to enter Lankan waters and that it did not conform to the International Ships Port Facility Security (ISPS) code.
MV Captain Ali is a ship that is carrying around 884 tonnes of aid including food, medicine and other relief materials for internally displaced Sri Lankan Tamils. The Sri Lankan government has accused the NGO sending the aid of helping the LTTE and hence has sent back the relief ship.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had earlier written to the External Affairs Minister S M Krishna seeking his intervention to 'persuade' Sri Lanka to allow unloading of the relief materials sent through the vessel.

Why not,..on the way to BC...!
In fact that was the best at that time in Colombo, I guess for that price. There was a price-down day too, I remember.
