During Buddha's time, Buddha went and sent other monks to talk to people from Other faiths.

But, Today that does not happen.

IF Every Monk did what Lord Buddha did WE would not be in the place where we are.

2600 years ago, Brahmin INdia was more hostile and aggressive than this.

We don't have peace in our hearts as long as Muslims are attempting to threaten the Sinhalese majority.


As a Sinhalese Buddhist I don't agree with this. Let me remind that some of our best soldiers who gave their lives to destroy the LTTE were Muslim. I'll go as far as saying I've seen more loyal muslims to Sri Lanka than some of our own Sinhalese (i.e. UNPeee supporters).

If us Sinhalese feel threatened we should respond intelligently and violence should be a last resort.

Good question!
I was one of them in the early 70's and there were many more.
You could also check the KIA list of our forces.
You will be surprised to to know that there were Tamils too.
Not only in the SLA but other forces too.
