Sri Lanka and India are planning to lay an undersea transmission line to connect the power distribution networks of the two countries so that electricity can be supplied by one when the other is running short.

The report, which will be published tomorrow, also expects water conflicts to break out in the Middle East, Haiti, Sri Lanka, Colombia and other countries.

We had an unfortunate 'water incident'. But we settled the Mavil Aru dispute a month ago... :)

Rasak,

Read the full article before quoting one para and hanging to it. It says, it will be more like India supplying for Srilanka as India won't need power supply since it has lot of power plants which can supply each other.
