The tenth contingent of the Sri Lanka Army is scheduled to leave for Haitito strengthen ongoing UN peacekeeping activities. At present, the Gajaba Regiment has been deployed at the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti, and the new contingent will take over duties soon.

The new contingent includes 52 officers and 697 other-rankers. The customary passing-out parade of the contingent was held at the Army Cantonment in Panagoda recently. And, the main composition consisted of Vijayaba Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops while a few service personnel from service and support arms also would leave for Haiti with them.

Best luck...!
