hindia is a isolated ignored nation in asia, worse than North Korea.
lets face it, it is not the truth. india is developing fast, mainly in IT but it is now helping other fields too. in 2012 india will have 2nd most number of billionaires after usa.
india's prominence will certainly help lanka in a big way too. so please be happy about it. |

if this land is hared by all, y did tamils fought for a separate land?
Partly this came through the revolutionary ideology flourished in early 1970s.
Of course, VP is not an educator in global communism uprisings and other regional struggles. But, he must inspired by some of end results of such incidents, only to CREATE a deadly issue out of dis-proportionate need to do so.
When LTTE took guns and started to kill own people first (the opposing other gangs), poor Tamils cornered into LTTEs pray without any safe option.
Unfortunately, some weaknesses of then GOSLs and poor coordination with SLDF gave a wrong impression to Tamil civilians that LTTE is a potential power house to gain a COUNTRY.
Anyway, through the blood of 10,000 young and valuable life, we have reached to a point that nation could be re-directed to the peace and productive path. Its our responsibility to STOP poor and ugly mentality against each other (specially Tamil-Sinhala), and give our hand to people those who are doing good to the country.
In elections, we will change them, when they are not good.
Its better, always.

PARIS, June 22 (KUNA) -- France, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, condemned on Monday the reported arrest of two staff members of the United Nations working in Sri Lanka who were detained by security authorities there.
'We condemn the arrest announced by the United Nations of two of its agents by the Sri Lankan authorities,' a French Foreign Ministry statement said.
'We support the demand expressed by the United Nations to obtain all necessary information on these arrests,' it was added.
The United Nations has been openly critical of the treatment of Tamil refugees who are being held in military camps after the defeat last month of the LTTE Tamil Tiger rebels by the Sri Lankan army.
The Tamil refugees seem destined to spend a long period in detention and UN and other humanitarian bodies have urged more be done to allow them to return to some form of normality.
'The agents of the United Nations must be able to exercise their missions without hindrance,' the French statement concluded.
