Original Sinhalses may have from Bengal, but over time larger part of assimilation came from Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

I'm afraid that there is no such a concept of original or pure Sinhalese. Even though Tamil speaking people have more homogen genes, there are mixed Tamils too (The proof is that there are fair skinned and dark skinned Tamils).
None can talk about pure Sinhalese or Tamil.

It is high time that we stop such negative remarks.

Agreed.

One other thing, I have heard food pittu exist in Kerala and among SL Tamils. I heard pittu doesn't exist among Indian Tamils.

Does it exist amonth Sinhalese ?

Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the closest part to Sri Lanka than any other parts of the world. One can come to a reasonable conclusion that Singhalese have come from there.

Thanks man..At least one who is seeing the end of the tunnel.

And I'm ready to call myself Sri Lankan if Sinhalese stop to call us illegal or stateless or invader Tamils as many are doing since I joined LNP..

I have no idea, and please someone clear my doubt, but I heard Sinhalese like Sambal too..

Got my answer..

Pittu is a popular and frequently prepared food item among Sri Lankans, both Tamils living in Northern and Eastern parts of Sri lanka as well as Sinhalese living in the rest of the areas of the country

This is what I call Ignorance or stupidity. Not surprising it is coming from a Thero who hate Christianism, Islam and Hinduism and have a blind love for fake Buddhism (I'm not trying to insult Buddhism at all, just trying to protect it)

There is a Sinhala civilization which is unique to Sri Lanka.

But talking about that is Racism.
