I think the turning point of the SL downfall was Mubarak wicket. Comming as one down man he is expected to hold on, but instead he opted for big shots, that is the begining of the downfall. Pressure built up on Jaya, then Jaya gone trying to ease up pressure, then Mahela. just unwanted pressure costed the match.
Pakis batsmen were never under pressure,so they batted well.
All got out not because Pakis bowing is good, bacause batsmen came under tremendous pressure which they couldnt withstand.
I dont understand why Sanga sent Mubarak one down, he has never come on that batting position. It is final, we cant afford to do testing, all testing should have done previously.
in vain we lost because we did nt have a proper game plan

Silva, you suck
Yes we need to have strongly build guys in 5,6,7, places.Doesnt matter wts the tallent you have ,end of the day you should have physical power to hit sixes.And we had only 3 bowlers.I think Dilahara's form was a big loss for us.He did well in last world cup.We could have given chamara's place to Maharoof. |

Silva, you suck
the tour selection committee clearly favoured Silva over Indika de Seram who is an opening batsmen and a good wicket keeper too. he should have been given a place as a batsmen in either Silva's or Mubarak's place in an earlier match to prove his potential. sad miss that is. |
