The due credit for the SLDF must give for defeating LTTE. MR gave the correct political leadership, and he got the backing from his family.

But, this success must link with the political solution for North and East, as well as post-war economic development of the country.

Then, let people to decide who will be the next President, which should be a near-automatic win for MR. Skipping elections is not a healthy action for the democracy in country.

Janaka Bandara Tennakoon must be off his head to by pass democracy. General Public should be given the opportunity to elect their President and not through the voice of few dumb MP's...:-)

thats right.anyway its a one horse race.skipping election will give some life lines to Jvp and ranils goons to howl and dance.why should we? and that will gonna be a next talk in IC for breach of democratic society n etc..first resettle the IDP's ,strengthen the elctorates in north east. abondon all the racial political parties trying to demarcate ppl on ethnic grounds .
