Are we blaming only one side for this ? But if you are firm on your view that one side is to blame for all the problems then I can't change your view.

Has any of us here ever think about the 14 other innocents who died when Rajiv was killed in India?
Or the wounded or the maimed? Or the orphaned? Or the ones who lost a loved one?
Has the South Indians forgotten them? Were they not Indians Killed by the LTTE? How come the DMKs and the AIDMKS or what ever they call themselves NEVER mentioned those deaths? |

Interesting.

LTTE kep pushing and pushing and pushing.
They held power over life and death of so many innocents.
Of course there is only one side to blame!
The demise of the LTTE proved the age old saying, Live by the sword, Die by the Sword. In the end they were massacred the same was they massacred countless innocents. |

As per 2 wikipedia articles:
The Supreme Court judgement, by Judge Thomas, confirmed that the killing was carried out due to personal animosity of the LTTE chief Prabhakaran towards Mr Rajiv Gandhi arising out of his sending the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to Sri Lanka and the alleged IPKF atrocities against Srilankan Tamils.
The judgment while convicting the accused, four of them to death and others to various jail terms, states that absolutely no evidence existed that any one of the conspirators ever desired the death of any Indian other than Rajiv Gandhi, though several people were killed.
Judge Wadhwa further states there is nothing on record to show that the intention to kill Rajiv Gandhi was to overawe the Government. Hence it was held that it was not a terrorist act under TADA (Act).

So in the same way, GOSL was also killing LTTE and any Civilian deaths are....purley incidental. :) |
