Winning and losing is part of the game.
India was unlucky this time, they had the best team.
Even if a country rules cricket and pays for many International cricket, at the end they have to play the game too.
It is not big deal, just enjoy the cricket. :) |

The session of the Eastern Provincial Council which is to be held on June 23 is expected to be crucial as some of the TMVP members who contested from the UPFA ticket are in favour of joining the SLFP and others opposing it.
UNP Member of the Eastern Provincial Council A. Sasitharan told Daily Mirror that members of the TMVP including Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan are not favourable towards joining the SLFP and are expected to remain independent.
However he said one has to wait and see what will take place on June 23. He said there is also a possibility of the Chief Minister and his group being wooed or forced to join the SLFP.
This would not affect the opposition as all 18 members including the 15 UNPers, the solitary JVP member and others are working closely as a group, he said.
Meanwhile JVP Member of the Council Wimal Piyatissa said one cannot predict the situation exactly as everything would be decided on June 23.
He said most of the members are unpredictable as many members change their stance from time to time. They are so unpredictable as members who takes a stance in the morning are taking a difference stance in the evening, he said.
Mr. Piyatissa said the position of the members will be made known on June 23.
Commenting on the matter a TMVP spoksman said there will be no change in the balance of power in the provincial council as there are no TMVP provincial council members who are willing to join the SLFP. He said there is no division within the party as some reports said.
No one else would join except for the Batticaloa Mayor and few others but our party would remain as it is, he said.

Anyone knows who is behind the creation of this entity?
http://www.eastbiz.org/
This is a good idea, but not sure how they are going to ship agricultural produce over long distance. Also, where is the market for such produce?
There is a great potential here. Similar venture could be repeated in the North - it can give livelihood to many impoverished families. Many already have the skills. Others need training + capital + resources. There is a market in Sri Lanka and abroad for fishery and palmyra products.

Tigerforce,
Have you been to this site?

There is a similar site for the Northern Province also. A really nice design for the site.
Let go the past. Think of a better future for all Sri Lankans. So far, the actions of many in the Tamil Diaspora have been only hurting the interests of Sri Lankan Tamils - especially those in the refugee camps in Vavuniya. Attempting to form this 'transnational government' is the third biggest mistake committed in the name of Tamils from Sri Lanka. The first was the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. The second was walking away from the Federal solution endorsed by the Co-Chairs. Don't keep making the same mistakes that lead you nowhere (but to foreign lobbyists and professors).
