Kural the warmonger.......... Absolute moron.

You took loans to provide Velu to buy arms.
Now, why not take another loan to feed the IDPs ? They are your people.

Prabakaran was hoping for an NDA or a Third Front win

This is old news. I mentioned it in one of the threads few weeks ago. An LTTE supporter mentioned it in LNP months ago (written in Tamil).

Mahinda's service to India:

http://www.defence.lk/new.asp?fname=20090611_02

This must be a political stunt. We don't want anything like India's Green Revolution repeated in Sri Lanka. The needed agricultural expertise already exists in Sri Lanka. The famers in Sri Lanka have a very good knowledge in sustainable practices. Especially in the north, to overcome the shortages and other effects from economic blockades, scientists and farmers worked to produce high-yield crops. They were assisted by scientists from abroad. I am sure the SL Army has found the remnants of the 'test fields.' They were also working on deploying drip-irrigation technology to conserve water while boosting yields.

May be, Mahinda should look into see how the farmers in Pubjab are now paying for the effects of Green Revolution. Many of them are down with cancer due to high exposure to pesticides. All over India, the farmers using more and fertilizer and pesticides to cope with the drop in yields. Many are committing suicide due to the inability to pay back the loans needed to purchase the fertilizer and pesticides. This is not the way to go for Sri Lanka. Let the Sri Lankan farmers (especially the Tamils in the north) do what they do best: produce bumper crops through use of sustainable practices. In fact, Sri Lankan farmers (Tamils and Sinhalese) can teach India how to farm without making land infertile. The Green Revolution is now a discredited legacy from the past. Most of the renowned agricultural scientists in India now advocate sustainable practices as a way to go forward.

On another topic:

What is Sri Lanka s GDP?

Here is an Indian company (Larson & Toubro) that should at least question whether Sri Lanka should continue to be a quasi-democratic and a quasi-theocratic state:
