While about 6,000 toilets are needed in the camps, only about 3,150 have been constructed and about 2800 need to be set up immediately, the report said.
I heard Tamilnadu does not have any toilets.
All 62 million go on the road side. |

Rural Sanitation coverage in Tamilnadu in 2004 itself was at 40% !
I am sure it is now more than 70% thanks to gr8 economic strides made by Tamilnadu in the last few years.
If Rural sanitation itself is at 70%, Urban fig are much much higher & only dumbos like Slmate & AnuD keep craping !
:-))
P. Amudha, an Indian Administrative Service Officer from Tamil Nadu, came to work in UNICEF in 2001 as an officer on deputation to work specifically on water and sanitation issues. The rural sanitation picture in Tamil Nadu at the time was grim only 15 % of the population had access to a toilet. The rural sanitation coverage in Tamil Nadu increased to 40 % in 2004 from 15 % in 2001 a mere three years after Amudha became part of the programme. In the face of such a success story, she says with a smile, Achieving merely what is possible does not give satisfaction. Achieving the impossible is what really gives the greatest satisfaction and joy.
Since Tamil Nadu had shown such progress on the sanitation and hygiene index, the Government of India instituted incentive awards on the lines of Clean Village at the national level in the form of the Nirmal Gram Puraskar to be awarded by the President of India. Among the thirty-nine villages awarded in 2004, thirteen were from Tamil Nadu.

Accounting Student Slmate yesterday learnt his lessons the hardway !
How much of SL Population has SL access to toilets ?
yuckie...
Compared to the rest of South Asia, Sri Lanka has impressive sanitation statistics with 90 percent of the population having access to latrines. But what happens to human waste thereafter is another story.
Inside their homes, they (Sri Lankans) are clean and ensure good hygiene, but there is no concern for the environment outside,' said Dr Nihal Abeysinghe, chief epidemiologist at the health ministry

we are talking about here is on techniques to manipulate financil statements and show less profits when your actual profits are higher than that..
I told in the example that Computers were SHOWN to be purchased & not ACTUALLY purchased !
why Do Srilankans always Jump the gun ?
Looks like SL mate needs ENGLISH lesson as well as accounting lesson too...
This is just a case. When Enron & Satyam who are at heavy loss can show in their Balance sheet High profits, you think the reverse cant be true ?
Even Satyam had PWC as their auditors !
Oh man.. I think this guys brain is even less than three inches..
What a way to show less profits..
First, this guy is faking a transaction which is not even an expense that you can put in to the P&L..
Second, if you are faking a transaction for god sake fake something which you can hide from the auditors, something like a consultancy fee or a travel expense..
Accountancy expert Chennai does not seem to be aware of things like asset registry, stock counts or counter validating invoices with the suppliers..
When the auditors turn up, you just tell tham 'Hey you know what, I bought a new computor. Therefore my profits are less this year'..

There will be a transaction by way of cheque & as per record, there will be a transaction but the amount will be refunded to my relative by cash.

Everything will be listed in the entries but only computers wont be there.

Normally no tax officer will turn up for amounts less than 5 Lakh & even if they turn up, they wont check all the assets in one location as the computers can be in any location !

This transaction will go under the expense section needed for running the organisation.
This Computer purchase invoice value will also go into depreciation accounts & after three years, the depreciation will be 100% for computers. So none will find it out. |
