biggest quarterly losses in Sri Lankan history..
OK! Now I understand the loss value.
I am no pro in this stuff, but will any company look forward to invest more in it when it is already running in losses?
So that must not a big loss for IOC, and they know that they can see lot of money in it, that is why they continue doing it. For IOC it is a peanut loss. |

there are various ways in which a Profitable company can be shown to be loss making one by investing more & more into assets.
This is the joke of the century by the financial expert chennaiguy..
Any small kid with the smallest amount of accountancy knowledge knows money invested in assets does not go in to the profit and loss..
I will save this post and bring it up to redicule you when ever you talk about finacial matters..

Don't think that you have out smarted others.
During the world war II,the RAF,bombed even their own forces to avert a greater defeat.
It is not a new phenominal,at some point in a confrontation, some tiomes you have destroy your own bridges or even worse.
The intention in doing that is important than the action.
Whether it is benificial for your struggle or not.

When there is a profit of abt 10 crores, people buy property worth abt 8 crores which goes into capital accoutn for depreciation thru loans from the banks thereby reducing the PAT to be paid to the Govt.
This is the std procedure used by companies to show less Profit if they deem to ...
