I am not in political agreement with the LTTE. The suffering Tamil people have been trapped between a genocidal Sinhala State and a cynical, totalitarian LTTE that does not mind sacrificing any number of Tamil lives to achieve its aims.
However given the foolish, extremist, militarism of the State the LTTE will be given a new lease of life. THe LTTE has existed for 30 years only 12 of which did they control territory. Just because they lose territory why on earth should any reasonable observer believe that they will suddenly dissapear? Given the massive atrocities committed by the State against the Tamil civilian population, given the exposure of the State's crimes to the world, given the further radicalization of a new gernation of diaspora Tamils the likelihood of the LTTE rising again is very high and the likelihood that the IC will move to support a separate state in Sri Lanka is also very high. So yes, the path that the State is on now will lead to a scenario where the LTTE will actually accomplish its aims. |

My intention was not to start an argument with you. I just wanted to find out whether you still believe that LTTE is going to win this war. After all, every person have a right to dream and you are not an exception. Besides, if you firmly believe that the on-going offensive is actually helping LTTE to accomplish their aim, why should I convince you otherwise unless urging you to help LTTE achieving their aim!!
