You don't make any sense. He is the leader of UNP, but he does not contest for presidential election. He will contest for general election, but as usual people will not vote for him. clear?
lets analyse this argument:
SF contests for the PE and wins
New Prez abolishes the eceutive presidency
No prime minister yet.
Parliament election comes
SF can't contest in that
Both Ranil and Mahinda contests
Naturally Mahinda will get more votes and more SLFP members will go in to the parliament
Then who is going to be the Executive Prime Minister?
Non other than MAHINDA :))))))) |

Who started the Exceutive Presidency? JRJ UNP
Who started Jumbo cabnets? Premadasa UNP
Who started attacking Supreme court Judges? JRJ UNP
Who started thugs in elections UNP since the inception of that party.
SLFP observes, waits and when in power, do the above stuff worst than UNP... simple as that?
In essence we didn't expect UNP type leadership from MR & CBK. |

| UNP first start the biggest blunder igniting the WAR by using thugery burning the library in jaffna 1980 sending ciril mathew /gamini dissanayake/ mallimarrahchi,gonawala sunil under the guidence of young Ranil. then JR boasted they send Sapu mal kumaraya to conquor jaffna by appointing Bull weerathunga as the commander of jaffna.thats the 1st example set by so called guardians of democracy the UNP did the first robbery in a sri lankan election. |

In fact SF had helped to make MR back the Executive PM..in other words SF is taking Ranil & them for good ride! And may be Y Ranil is still pondering whether to field SF or not???
:)))))
And JVP is running behind a wild goose thinking that SF will win the PE and for them to have the Executive PM..

Now Can you imagine Y, MR decided to have PE first???

UNP did the first robbery in a sri lankan election.
1982 referundum..was an outright violation of Human rights by JRJ!!
Cos he violently objected our right to choose the appropriate people to the parliment and making those thugs & corrupted to remain for another 6 years! |

| According to UNP & JVP the pace basil and Gota buying Sri lankan businesses/hotels/hospitals etc..in another 6 months..everything is gonna own by basil n gota..hikz..stock market too. hikzz so who is gonna fund the MP's to the PE ? lolz Basil & gota :))) |

i have a better idea..every time when a gov comes to power opposition start crying politicos robs ppls money and try to bring an election.hikz..so isnt it better .as PPL we ask the Goverment how much money you need to vacate the gov? so get a IMF loan and pay them few billions..and bring the new goverment.NO ELECTIONS. /NO waste of Money and lives in campagining /NO waste of TV times ..clean walls hikz . i guess bribing will do the best. for sri lanka..hikz |
