I know neither SF nor MR as individuals. But I remember that
MR threw almost every group that helped him in the bin: Mangala, JVP, Karu Fraction, General Fonseka and his team, etc etc.
In contrast SF threw in a huge fracas partly becuase his top generals, were sidelined/moved out.
MR told SF that he will be the secretary to the sports ministry thru news papers. SF went to see MR and told him that he plans to fight him in the elections. |

Mangala - Proved inability to take MR govt vision to the world through his foreign minister portfolio.
JVP - feared MR will stop the war at the last moment and they didn't want to be part of it (if that happened). Now they cannot digest their decision.
Karu - Bought back by Ranil
Fonseka - MR could not satisfy his high demands after the war propelled by his high ego |

Why some go crazy at SF...?

If SF gets elected it will be CHAOS+++ as he will have a nincompoop as the PM and another jim-batallion in the cabinet and govt whom he will have to cater with ministerial portfolios and other official postings.
All these opportunists from the JVP,UNP,SLMC,TNA, SLFP(M) and goodness knows what else is in their 'kenda heliya', will be pulling the ruling of the county to all possible sides according their own ways of thinking landing the country in another right royal mess.
After having defeated the tigers who were the MENACE to any progress in the country, now the so called leaders cannot genuinely unite to do some productive work for the beter of the Nation. The meanings of the word UNITY, GENUINESS and STAESMANSHIP seems to be alien to our politicians. What ever alliances ANYONE forms is ALWAYS based on disunity and has NEVER worked and will NEVER work. That will hold true even for this latest alliance.

he cannot, a GE should before April 20's.
but the PE will bring chaos in Left fronts. |

The JVP has formally invited General Sarath Fonseka to be their common candidate at the Presidential elections. JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayaka said that talks with the General in this regard was successful. He also said that the JVP will not have talks with the UNP on the election.
Who can predict Sarath Fonseka's symbol for Presidential Election..

Alll the best MR you have no challenge.
SF dont be a pool justforget everything and join us You can be a minister of nation building in the next cabinet.
if you go with National SMS Front you will have to sit Awamangala in a tailor shop after the elections.
RW this is your last chance to contest and to get appointed as the Oppp leader, so dont give up, even if SF comes you should not discouraage.
(I know you are eying to be the Chief of staff under a SF rejime)
We must also thank the JRJ moda muththa who mastered this constitution, with that we can keep UNP in opposition forever.
In the second rejime of MR country will get rid of all the reminning big problems and once those are solved MR can come back to parliment after abolishing the EP, then you r our leader for ever. |
