Ravi Karunanayake indicted over exchange control violation

Colombo High Court today (July 10) served indictment on UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake on an alleged violation of exchange control regulations.
The parliamentarian stands accused of having violated Central Bank regulations and the Exchange Control Act by helping a non Sri Lankan to deposit foreign currency in a private bank.
The High Court ordered a Rs. 100,000 cash bail and two sureties of Rs. one million each, and impounded the passport of Mr. Karunanayake.

With regard to anti MR coalition are they going to ban the competition for scarce resources and force people to find commonality between people? Also, what sort of actions will be taken to overcome self interest, greed and to promote moral betterment of all?
Will there be a new approach to handle the responsibilities that comes with freedom?
Is anyone going to land on his ego?

The point is he had being very nasty to the ranks who were working under Gen JP.. but still those officers were well recognized for their galantry service fighting the enemy! This type of policy doesn't go well with any defence force.
You need a that type character to win the war that had been running 3 decades. What is point of a nice CEO who cannot deliver. The most successful CEOs are the most nasty ones. For eg. Jack Welch.
A defence force survives if and ONLY if there exist a strong political mechanism! If not for the political leadership extended by MR, tell me..
Well I agree on MRs leadership. no doubt.
cud SF will be this much popular among the normal folks like us! Who brough him to this position?? It was GR! and GR had bitter arguments with his own bro when extending his commander post after the first year!
If you apply same argument. Mahinda became Prez with help of JVP and Mangala. But MR need not to be loyal to JVP & Mangala forever. |

Are they going to enforce the idea that politicians must not get off on power and that they should be motivated by the will of the common people at all times?
How low is low? Are they all going to sing ...War is not the answer, the military is not the solution, and there may be possible crimes but it wasn't me/us...?

Everbody knows a future government led by SF, Ranil and JVP will be as clean as a whistle. Those who are corrupt and benefiting from the current system are afraid to loose all that. SF is god- send to clean up the system with the help of clean Ranil.
Nothing and none can stop him. The future belongs to Saga, weda, guru, govi, kamakaru people. Not to a family.
Those who have not done wrong need not fear. Those who did wrong be careful, SF is coming. |
